1. The first thing is stop smoking if you are a smoker. It is true that can raise blood pressure, and stopping smoking can help to reduce blood pressure, so it is first-class advice. Stop smoking can lower it, but smoking is not the cause.


Everybody who smokes doesn't have high readings.



 2. The second thing over weight if you are overweight. Losing even 10 pounds can lower your readings. Losing weight can lower blood pressure, but it is not the reason of hypertension. 



Everybody who is overweight doesn't have hypertension.



 3. The third thing must do your exercise. Even adding 10 minutes of aerobic exercise per day will lower the readings. Adding exercise will cure hypertension, but lack of exercise is not the cause of high blood pressure. 


Everybody that is sedentary does not hypertension.
