What is good blood pressure?



If you are healthy and not taking blood pressure medications is high blood pressure usually nothing to worry about.

An excellent healthy blood pressure is a maximum of 120/80. It usually young, healthy and slim people have.

Most people in the Western world have higher blood pressure. It is common in middle-aged and older people, especially at weight problems.

Between 120-140 in blood pressure and 80 to 90 in depression counts as a precursor to hypertension. There is nothing that needs to be treated in otherwise healthy. But it does mean that there is scope for improving health through lifestyle measures.

Indigenous people who do not eat Western diets typically have excellent blood pressure even at an older age. We can learn from and be inspired by them.
