Vitamin D is one of the nutrients our body needs. This is done by our body with the help of sunlight. We also get vitamin D in eggs, milk, dairy products, mushrooms, and fish. Vitamin D helps our body absorb calcium properly. This causes the bones to become rigid. However, research shows that vitamin D deficiency is more common in people with type 2 diabetes and hyperactivity in our country.

According to a study by Mumbai-based Good Hospital Diabetologist Dr Piji Talwalkar, 84.2 percent of people in our country are diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and 82.6 percent of HBP patients have vitamin D deficiency. Vitamin D deficiency has been diagnosed as the body is not getting enough sunlight. Doctors say that maintaining vitamin D consistently helps to improve the bones, but also reduces the risk of frequent illnesses, excessive tiredness, stress, depression, and hair loss.
